"Tsarichina" is reserve with Government decree № 4942 from 18.07.1949.
Tsarichina is the third largest reserve in the Central Balkan National Park. It preserves a representative self-sustaining ecosystem, for which it is listed in the UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Program:

The European hiking route E3 (Kom - Emine) runs along the entire southern border of the reserve.
