Residence built c. 1876 in the French Second Empire style on 45 acres for George Hazard Robinson who in 1901 owned most of Eaton's Neck. Harry Ellingwood Donnell performed alterations in 1899 and designed outbuildings including a boathouse, billiard house, garage, and superindendent's house. After Robinson's death in 1919, the estate was divided among his family and most of the property was purchased by Henry Sturgis Morgan, Sr. in 1937. In 1938, it was sold to Richard E. Bishop {industrialist}. Bishop was a perfume manufacturer who established a factory on the estate grounds using the carriagehouse and boathouse, but had to sell and shut it down due to zoning in the Village of Asharoken. In 1963, it was sold to Reed law and later John R. Miller, III who began an extensive renovation.
