Bethpage State Park is a park operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Built on the former estate of railroad tycoon, Benjamin F. Yoakum, the park is home to five golf courses, including the famous "Black Course", site of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open. Additional facilities include indoor and outdoor tennis courts, polo grounds, softball fields, a picnic area and catering facilities.
