Residence deigned c. 1947 in the Contemporary Ranch style for Walter Hines Page, II {financier, industrialist}. Page served as president and chairman of J.P. Morgan & Co. and Morgan Guaranty Trust, and director of American Kennecott Copper Corp. He also served as president of Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Association. He was also a grandson of Walter Hines Page. His wife was Jane Nichols, daughter of Jane Morgan Nichols who resided across the street at "Uplands".
