5-story Italianate residential building originally completed around 1870 as a townhouse. Around 1925, the stoop was removed and a 2-story projecting storefront was installed. The 2nd floor is stuccoed, and the ground-floor storefronts have been further modernized. At the 2nd floor there is a tall, narrow window in the center, with regular-sized windows on either side; each is recessed with beveled edges.

The brownstone upper floors have three bays of segmental-arched windows in stone enframements with bracketed sills. The facade is crowned by a grey metal roof cornice with brackets and dentils between each pair of brackets. The east elevation is white parged brick. The ground floor is occupied by Captain's Cafe.
