 1850s construction, commercial building

5-story commercial building completed in the 1850s as a rowhouse for William Sinclair. Around the turn of the century, it was given a new facade of smooth stucco, with three bays of simple, wood-framed windows, and converted to commercial use. It still possesses a striking black cornice in the Gothic style, with bosses and intricate fretwork. A 2-story storefront in a Spanish style was later installed. It is faced in white-painted stucco, with quoined red brickwork around the openings, and decorative green tiles. Both floors have small, sloping Spanish tile roofs. The ground floor is occupied by Inked tattoos and piercing.
