118-foot, 9-story cooperative-apartment building completed in 1898. It has a 2-story base, originally clad in rusticated buff-colored brick, which still remains at the left half of the south facade, but the rest has been re-clad in a patchwork of metal panels. The east facade on the avenue has three bays of triple-windows, with paired windows above the 4th floor. The south elevation has a bay of single-windows on the left (the original openings have been partially filled-in and smaller windows installed), and four bays of paired windows to the right, although the two eastern bays have been replaced with triple-windows and metal spandrels at the 3rd & 4th floors. Brick quoins line the edges of the facades, and three large scrolled brackets top the triple-windows at the 4th floor on the east elevation. A corbelled band course sets off the top floor, which is rusticated and capped by a simple roof parapet. The northern wall is faced in plain orange brick with a handful of windows. The building contains 16 apartments. The ground floor is occupied by Moscot eyewear.
