ruins, camp, rehabilitation centre, interesting place

Old Camp owned by the Quartz Mountain Park Service. In the mid and late 80's it was used as a long-term juvenile rehab center. Min. stay was 6 months to 9, and aged kids from 16-21. Prior to being a rehab for juveniles, I believe it was a CCC Camp (Civilian Conservation Corp. [who also built MANY of the parks and camps and trails in Ok.])

  • Looks to be on the "ruins" list, as it looks greatly eroded and falling apart. I was there in the mid to late 80's, again with my husband in the mid to late 90's. The sign was still up at the turnoff entrance, but we did not drive up. There's some good hiking behind the facility tho.
  • It burned several years ago during a wildfire
