Three dolomite mounds, used as a meeting place, ceremonial grounds and a safe spot by the Plains Indians. The highest offers a long, 10+ mile view in all directions. Renowned spiritual site.

These mounds are the only geological structure rising above the flat Texas prairie in this area of Texas. They are like silent sentinels watching over the vast plains. I can certainly understand how the Native Americans considered them sacred. Absolutely worth the short drive from US287.
