4-story Greek-revival residential building completed in 1840 as a 3.5-story rowhouse. It is clad in red brick above a brownstone basement, three bays wide. The original elaborate ironwork encloses the areaway, and serves as handrailing for the stoop and as a balcony for for the floor-length windows of the first story. The top floor has been raised to full height and a black metal roof cornice with modillions was added in the late 1890s.
