4-story Romanesque-revival mercantile building originally completed in 1855 as a rowhouse. Its lower floors had been converted to commercial space by the early 1880s, and soon it was housing the Fencers' Club. In 1888, a completely new brick and stone facade, designed by Charles Romeyne & Co., was constructed and its upper floors were converted to bachelor apartments. A 2-story storefront was also installed at this time. The base features tan-painted brick piers with rock-faced brownstone bands, paneled spandrels, projecting 2nd-floor show windows (four windows with three stacked panes), and a dentiled crown.

The upper floors are clad in tan-painted brick; the outer piers have carved brownstone capitals, and the two bays of windows have brownstone surrounds with carved spandrels between them. The facade is crowned by a brownstone roof cornice featuring dentils and scrolled brackets.

The building remains largely intact to the 1888 alteration. The ground floor is occupied by Made Nice Restaurant.
