Maurer as a store and offices building, it has a 2-story limestone base with an eared surround and decorative cartouche. The upper floors, four windows wide, feature piers with carved caps, and paneled spandrels. The original projecting band above the 7th floor has been removed and replaced with cement stucco fascia. The building is topped by a cement-stucco-covered roof parapet.
The building was converted to apartments sometime in the late 1900s. The ground floor is occupied by Cardoncello restaurant.
