3-story Italianate mercantile building completed in 1851 as a rowhouse. In 1916, the building's 1st story was lowered to street level and double storefronts installed, with a recessed central entry with a glass door in a round-arch that is set in a large plate-glass transom. The cast-iron end piers and ribbed band across the top of the ground floor remain, painted beige. The upper floors are clad in red-painted brick, three bays wide, with projecting stone window sills and lintels. The facade is topped by a black, wooden, dentiled roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Forward clinic.
