According to CFII Bill Pritchard, the locals said this very remote airstrip was used for drug smuggling in the 1980s. The airfield is closed now, and the rancher who helped build it is dead. The precise name of the airfield is unknown.

The airfield consists of a single paved 5,200' runway, with a paved ramp area at each end of the runway, all in very good condition. There do not appear to be any signs of any buildings, or any indication that the field has been used recently.
