office building
Add category
4-story office building completed in 1827 as a dwelling. The original facade was replaced by a French-renaissance cast-iron one in the 1870s, from which point the building served as a store and loft. It has ornate Corinthian columns, and is crowned by a roof cornice with large decorative modillions and a rounded pediment in the center, topped by an urn and spire. It was converted to offices in the mid-1900s, and is currently occupied by Dieu Donne Papermill as a workspace - the company was founded in 1976, dedicated to the art of papermaking.
