5-story office building completed in 1859 as a store-and-loft building. The end of the building facing Broome Street is clad in stone with a white cast-iron ground floor. The windows here have full stone enframements with corbelled feet and cornices. The side wall along Crosby is clad in red brick, with a stone band course above the ground floor, and stone sills and lintels with metal cornices at the windows. The far north 2nd & 3rd floor windows on this facade have been bricked-in. The far south bay of windows has stone enframements with cornices. A small metal fire escape runs down the center of the Crosby facade, and both facades are topped by a red-painted metal roof cornice with modillions, and also dentils above the stone section. The ground floor is occupied by York Spa.
