6-story office building completed in 1883. Designed by Lamb & Rich as a store, it is clad in red brick and green-painted cast-iron. At the center of the ground floor facing Broome Street is an arch with a rough stone header. Above, the three center windows of the ground floor and the outer windows at the 2nd-4th floors are round-arched with brick headers. The center windows of the upper floors are set-in cast-iron infill, with a mansard at the top floor that has a pair of triangular pediments and a scrolled, rounded broken-pediment in the middle. The two outer sections have metal cornices at the top. A very wide metal fire escape spans most of the facade. The ground floor houses Madewell, a funky pricy clothing store with a DJ booth.
