USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Walker Street, 48-50
 condominium, 1850s construction

6-story residential building completed in 1859 as a 5-story store-and-loft building. Designed by R.G. Hatfield, who also designed the Tiffany Building on Broadway. In 1900-01 owner John Boyle, a cotton-goods merchant, commissioned John F. Kelly & Company to increase the height of the building to six stories. This alteration is evident at both the fifth and sixth stories, composed of slender brick piers and spandrel panels, which echo the forms of the cast iron below. The building was used to store and manufacture dry goods. It is now residential condominiums.
