8-story office building completed in 1908 as a store-and-loft building, renovated in 1989. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, it has a 2-story base on its two main facades. White brick piers with horizontal rustications, set on grey-painted stone plinths, divide the Lafayette Street facade into five bays, and the Walker Street side into three bays. The main entrance is in the northernmost bay on Lafayette Street, framed by a pair of Ionic columns supporting an entablature with the words "HARDWARE BUILDING" carved on it, and capped by a dentiled cornice. The rest of the bays have modernized storefronts. Stone spandrel panels decorated with circles separate the two floors of the base. The 2nd-floor has triple-windows with black metal mullions, and capitals on the piers each ornamented with three circles. A stone cornice caps the base.
The brick piers continue on the upper floors, with paneled brick spandrels between floors, and wider mullions between the window panes. Very large keystones top the center windows of each bay at the 7th floor, supporting a stone band course than runs around both facades. The top floor is crowned by a projecting metal roof cornice with dentils and long modillions. The exposed western wall is faced in parged brick, painted white, with no windows. The exposed upper portion of the northern wall is clad in red brick. The ground floor is occupied by a 7-Eleven convenience store, and Buy Rite Pharmacy.
