7-story residential building completed in 1861 as a 5-story store-and-loft building. The building was restored and converted for residential use with office space at the ground floor in about 1990, and again renovated with two penthouse floors added in 2010. The ground floor has smooth white Corinthian columns and is capped by a projecting cornice. The upper floors have double-height smooth Corinthian columns, topped by round-arches at the 3rd & 5th floors. The outer piers have banded blocks, each projecting out to a point, and there are balustrade-like spandrel panels between floors. The facade is crowned by a white, modillioned roof cornice with end brackets. This facade wraps around the corner for one bay, the rest of the eastern wall down Franklin Place is clad in red brick. The windows on this side facade have simple stone sills and lintels, some with exterior shutters.
