condominium, 1860s construction
5-story residential building completed in 1868. Designed by Benjamin W. Warner, whose brother, Samuel A. Warner, designed the slightly earlier neighboring twin at 112 Franklin Street. It has a cast-iron facade, painted bright white at the ground floor with Corinthian columns. The upper floors have segmental-arched windows, growing progressively shorter at each floor. A black metal fire escape runs down the facade, which is topped by a black metal bracketed roof cornice. This building typically has been used for the sale and storage of textiles. It was occupied by linen importers in 1946, and is currently a condominium building.
