7-story Romanesque-revival residential building completed in 1891. Designed by John B. Snook & Sons as a store-and-loft building for wholesaler John T. Williams. The facade is composed of a 1-story base, with intact bay framing of red brick and green cast-iron, and a brick arcaded upper portion with cast-iron mullions, terra-cotta ornament, and a green sheet-metal roof cornice with modillions. Its Romanesque-revival style is articulated by the large molded arches, by pilasters with carved capitals, and by the top-floor colonnade of squat piers, all displaying intricate ornamental details.

The building has been tenanted by grocery importers and remains associated with the wholesale import trade by virtue of a current occupant, Pastene & Company (North America's oldest importer of premium Italian packaged goods) on the ground floor. The upper floors have been converted to condominiums.
