5-story Italianate residential building completed in 1860 as a store-and-loft building. The design of 146 Duane Street is the mirror image of that of No. 142. Faced in marble (now painted), the facade above the first story has four bays of square-headed window openings per story. Bracketed triangular pediments and molded lintels, eared surrounds, sill courses, and quoins at the west end enrich the design. The facade is crowned by a dentiled and modillioned stone cornice.

The decorative clock on the 2nd story was installed for Nathaniel Fisher & Co., a shoe firm that was a tenant from the 1890s through the 1950s. The building was converted to condominiums in the late 1990s. The ground floor is occupied by JCP Downtown.org.
