157-foot, 11-story residential building originally completed in 1899 as a 5-story office building. In 2000, a 6-story addition designed by Fritz Johnson was placed atop the original building, creating an 11-story condominium building.

The original five lower floors have a cast-iron storefront with a cornice at the ground level, and are framed by two limestone piers above. Each floor is divided into three bays, with green-painted iron mullions and continuous lintels, and grey metal framing. The roof cornice, with console end brackets, remains.

Above, the new floors are set back behind squared masonry outer piers and balconies that extend to the original building line. The balconies have green metal railings in front and at the side. The penthouse level is further recessed. On the northern wall, faced in tan stuccoed brick, there are four columns of windows near both the front and rear of the building that grow smaller toward the center.

The rear facade at Benson Place alley is smooth stuccoed in grey, with a terrace above the 4th floor, and the newer floors set back from the facade.
