 condominium, 1901_construction

12-story residential building completed in 1901. Designed by Henry J. Hardenbergh as an office building. It was converted to condominiums around 2000. It has a 2-story limestone base with buff-colored brick above. The base has wide banded piers; shallow arches top the entrances at each corner, with escutchions on the piers framing each doorway, and a stone cornice capping the base. The 3rd-5th floors have banding on the brick, as well as the outer bays of the floors above. Each outer bay has two windows with splayed lintels and stone sills. The center bays of the 3rd-5th floors have recessed triple windows, culminating in segmental-arches, and with decorative spandrel panels. Above a stone cornice, the center bays of the top floors have three groups (on the Leonard side) and five groups (on the Church Street side) of three simple windows with stone sills. Other small cornices top the 10th and 11th floors. The entire top floor is banded, and there is a rooftop deck and pool.
