Worth Building Condominium

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Worth Street, 73
condominium, 1860s construction, Italianate style (architecture)

7-story residential complex consisting of a grouping of similar buildings (from 65-77 Worth Street), all completed in 1860 as 5-story, Italianate-style store-and-loft buildings. These structures housed office space throughout the 20th century until being combined into a condominium project (with two levels of penthouses added on top) in 2000. The facades are clad in stone, with fluted columns lining the ground floor. The two eastern facades have small balustrades below the 2nd-floor windows. The western facade has the same balustrades below the center section of the 2nd floor only. This facade also has stone quoins. All the windows have stone enframements and cornices, and all the facades are topped by modillioned and dentiled roof cornices. The ground floors are occupied by a Chase Bank branch, RBC NYC, and Atera restaurant.
