93 Worth Condominium

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Worth Street, 93
 condominium, interesting place

17-story residential building completed in 1924 as a 13-story office building, with the address of 335 Broadway. Designed by Jardine, Hill & Murdock, it is clad in brown brick above a stone ground floor and 2-story stone-clad transitional section. There is a stone cornice across the ground floor, and a stone cornice with dentils capping the base section. The upper floors have simple windows, with very little decoration, save for a stone band course across the 11tth floor, and carved capitals on the pier at the top floor. The building is crowned by a roof cornice with large modillions. The main entrance on Worth Street is set under a large round-arch with a keystone and foliate carvings. The rear, north wall is clad in red brick. The ground floor is occupied by an HSBC Bank branch.

The building was restored and converted to loft condominiums in 2013 by the ODA, with a recessed glass-and-metal-clad addition on top.
