4-/5-story residential building originally completed as two separate buildings in the late 1800s (the first was built in 1871 by Robert Auld). They were joined in 1919, with a courtyard in the back facing a rear building, and now have a shared entrance through a gate to a narrow passageway on the west side. The eastern building facade has five floors, with an English basement level serving as the 1st floor; the western building has four taller floors, with the ground floor staggered from the other facade, but with the windows nearly matching up at the top floor.

Both are clad in red brick. The east building's lower level is capped by a limestone lintel, and has two windows at the east end, with a door and narrower window at the west. The upper floors have three bays of windows, but the west window at the 2nd floor is shifted closer to the center. It has a stone sill but no lintel; all the rest of the windows have both stone sills and lintels. Cutouts for air-conditioning units are located below the windows the center bay. The facade is crowned by a green copper roof cornice with brackets and panels.

The narrower, 4-story west building has three bays of windows on every floor, all with stone sills and lintels. It is crowned by a larger (but narrower) green copper roof cornice with large console brackets, modillions, dentils, and panels. A black metal fire escape runs down the east two bays of the facade, with the landings extending over and slightly up to the west bay of the east building's facade. The east elevation, facing the narrow passageway to the entrance and rear building, is faced in beige stucco with a brick ground floor.

The 3-story rear building, originally a carriage house, is clad in stone on the ground floor, with four large round-arches with French doors. The upper floors are red brick, and recessed, creating a 2nd-floor porch covered by a roof supported on paneled pillars.
