  Nambedu is main village connecting other villages like Savarappoondi, Parikalpattu, Devimangalam, Karuppur. Nambedu is located in the highways (Polur to Chennai). Main population are farmers and they depends on deep wells and small water tank. Agriculture products are paddy, sugarcane and groundnut. Recently a new higher seconday school was opened.

  in this village there are so much of educated pepole and degree holdres and phd persones are bone in this village
