Bhubaneswar ("Abode of God") or the temple city of India is a city located on the eastern coast of India. Once the capital of ancient Kalinga, the city has a long history and is today a bustling centre for commerce and religious activity. Bhubaneswar became the modern capital of the state of Orissa in 1948, a year after India gained its independence from Britain. The city is inhabited by over a million people and maintains a high rate of population growth. The city is identified with the Lingaraj and Rajrani temples.

The Orissa government is keen on developing Bhubaneswar as an IT Hub. The city has development centres for IT companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro Technology, ESS,STI and Ficussoft functioning under Software Technology Parks of India,STPI Bhubaneswar.puri is a fantastic religious place near the bhubaneswar . This place is 40 kms away from BBSR towards north where lord Jagannath lives along with sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra .Now this place attracts more tourists from various places of world.

    Bhuabneshwar is my hometown, and I love it for cleanliness. It the second most clean city after Chandigarh. There are no traffic jams ever, and less possibility of fraud. Great places to visit and hangout. Cool place for youngsters.
