5-story office building completed in 1877. Designed by Schweitzer & Grave as a warehouse in the neo-Grec stlye. 444 Broadway was built simultaneously with 452 Broadway - they are connected on the Crosby Street side. Both buildings have identical facades on Broadway, in white-painted cast-iron. The windows are separated by very slender columns, with decorative arcing ironwork at the window corners, and dentiled cornices between floors. The wide facade on Crosby is clad in red brick, with peaked iron lintels over the windows. A pair of black metal fire escapes run down this facade. 452 Broadway has a Michael K. clothing store on the ground level. The Crosby side is occupied by Artisan de Luxe, and Carlos Aparicio & Associates on the ground floor.
