Emona monastery "St. Vlasiy" is located in the center of the resort Sveti Vlas.
"St. Vlasiy", along with the monastery "St. Nikola" was the most prominent of Emona monasteries which formed a small Athos. There is evidence that the monastery reached its zenith during the XII-XIV centuries, especially in the XIV century, during the Bulgarian Tsar Ivan Alexander (1331-1371). It is likely that, here is the biggest Bulgarian resident cleric-hesychast Theodosius.
The monastery existed until XVIII century, when among other Emonski monasteries, was destroyed by robbers and pirates.
