Mosynopolis (Greek: Μαξιμιανούπολις - Μοσυνόπολις, Bulgarian: Месинопол), known in late Antiquity as Maximianoupolis, was a Byzantine town in Thrace located on the Via Egnatia near the modern Greek city of Komotini. It served as the regional center until 1206, after which it declined and was replaced first by Gratianoupolis (modern Gratini), then by Komotini.
