The Nelsonville Cross was erected on Kontner's Hill April 1973. It is a Memorial Cross to Elizabeth "Betty" (Smith) Schwartz by her husband Walter "Bud" L. Schwartz. It can be accessed by car by driving north on St. Charles Avenue; however, it gets very steep at one section.
