Canada / Ontario / Windsor / Windsor, Ontario / Shepherd Street East, 201-211

Founded in the 1880s, Windsor Truck & Storage moved to its present site in 1917. It is the oldest business still operating in Windsor, as well as one of the oldest moving and storage businesses in Ontario. In 1987 it was purchased by Tippet Richards which provides storage, warehousing and trucking services as well as records management. Allied Van Lines provides residential and business moving services.

In 1928 the building was expanded to its present size with the erection of a four storey addition which included cream terra cotta ornamentation on the top of the building and a clock tower which rises 30 feet above the roof line. The clock had an eight foot dial and was illuminated at night.

Designed by Windsor architects Cameron & Ralston, the buildings features have been altered by the later addition of siding.
