Goat Mountain Wind Farm is located north of State Highway 158 about 10-15 miles northeast of Sterling City (between Big Spring and San Angelo), Texas. Commissioned in two phases, it consists of 109 Mitsubishi wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 149.6 MW. Phase I (2008, southwest section) has 80 of model MWT-1000-57 and phase II (2009, northeast section) has 29 of model MWT-92/2.4.
