Sundance Air Force Station

From 1962 to 1968 this was the site of the US Air Force's 731st Radar Squadron. The site is significant in that it was used to prove the feasibility of an air-transportable nuclear power plant to drive the site and the radars. It worked!

Sundance AFS was part of the SAGE network.

The housing area is at the base of the mountain.
