Foundation Coal's Belle Ayr Mine is a surface coal mine, situated in Wyoming's portion of the Powder River Basin. Coal from this mine is transported by BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad to customers throughout North America. During 2007, production from the Mine amounted to 26,608,765 tons, the 7th highest among coal mines in the United States.
