Marine terminal used for exporting forest products, general cargo and containers. The 34.5 ac. terminal features three deep water berths, four transit sheds, one of which has been converted into a fabrication plant, with a total area of 519,945 sq. and one bulk storage shed. ft. It is the only facility in the port with general cargo transit sheds.

Forest Products

At one time forest products composed a large part of the cargo shipped from the terminal. In 1996 shipments amounted to 1 million tonnes. Following the closure of many paper mills in New Brunswick and the north-east United States and the migration of forest products to container ports, shipments declined to 100,000 tonnes by 2010 composed largely of wood pulp and paper board.

Petroleum Coke

In 2007, the Port Authority constructed a new storage shed to receive and store shipments of petroleum coke for use as fuel for NB Power's Coleson Cove Generating Station. Petroleum coke delivered in coal like pellets is the residue left after oil has been refined into gasoline and other fuels and is a cheap alternative to burning Bunker C oil. The facility can store up to 28,000 tonnes of petroleum coke at one time and 600,000 tonnes a year. The petroleum coke is transported to the Generating Station by truck.

Floating Pipeline

Shed D has been converted into a fabricating plant for Floating Pipeline Company which manufactures gas transit modules which are exported to Asia, Latin America and Europe. The cylindrical pressure vehicles are custom made and allow safe economic transport of compressed natural gas and are installed in ships, barges, rail cars and road transport.
