A pair of near-matching 4-story residential buildings completed together in the 1870s. Both are clad in red-painted brick above metal-and-glass storefronts at the ground floors. The residential entrance to No. 797 is at the north end with a glass door, while 99 West 27th's is at the west end of the south facade, with a stainless-steel-and-glass Art-Deco-style door.

The upper floors on the east facades both have three bays of single-windows in openings with curved tops, but those at No. 797 are spaced closer together, as the facade is slightly thinner. There are projecting stone quoin blocks running up the southeast corner of the south building. Both facades are crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets and panels.

The upper floors of 99 West 27th's south facade have a single-window bay at each end, with three more near the west end, and another just east of center. A former bay next to this last one appears to have been filled-in. A black metal fire escape runs down the group of three bays, and the roof cornice continues onto this facade as well. The ground floors are occupied by The Buzz Wine & Liquor, and KHL Trading, Inc.
