The original Battle Command Post (BCP) for York Redoubt. The main area highlighted in the box contains a depression rangefinder bunker, magazine bunker, and a command post building. Other parts of it, in the green highlighted area, are three rangefinder pillboxes. Originally, it was called Spion Kop. Later, it was replaced by the building inside the redoubt itself.

The range finder bunker has been listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places as a Recognized Federal Heritage Building.
