203-foot, 21-story modernist residential building completed in 1963. Designed by Paul Resnick & Harry F. Green, it is clad in dark-red brick. The ground floor, lined with storefronts, has a central main entrance on 34th Street, with a peaked, blue canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. The east facade has a black granite water table, and at the south end, a 2 1/2-bay, 2-story brick section with service doors and a parking garage entrance. It is topped by a metal railing, with the upper floors set back above it. These floors span three bays (with double-windows at the south, triple-windows in the middle, and single-windows at the north). The middle section of the east facade is four bays wide, all with triple-windows. At the north end is another slightly set-back section, with one wide bay of five windows, above another metal railing.

The north elevation on 34th Street has a central recessed section with a pair of 5-window bays flanked by triple-window bays. On either side is a section with three bays of triple-windows, and at the ends are recessed areas. The eastern one has two bays of single-windows, and the western one has a single bay of triple-windows. All the windows have concrete sills. The recessed sections have setbacks above the 18th floor. On the east elevation the two center bays in the middle section set back above the 19th floor, and the southernmost bay sets back above the 15th floor. At the uppermost setbacks in the center sections there are narrow chamfered corners with metal railings.

The Murray Park contains 269 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by Guy & Gallard specialty foods, Pizza King, Dramatics NYC salon, French Corner boutique, Suits and Skirts Cleaners, an AT&T wireless store, HealthSource pharmacy, and Miraj restaurant. This building was home to author and philosopher Ayn Rand from 1950 until her death in 1982.
