  • As kids back in 1958, we went for a picnic on the river bank in the shadow of the bridge. My dad was DSTE in the railways and we lived in Khagoul, so it made a wonderful day trip. The river was low, so plenty of fine sand to run about on. Pat Boone was all the rage and I wrote a 'love letter in the sand'. Wonder if it is still there!
  • This was the bridge which I had to cross when we took railway journey to my maternal grandparents place. Though it used to night time when we crossed the bridge yet the rail route sounded like pleasure drum beating while passing through it. A welcome music sort.
