This is the remains of old anicut dam.This dam was built built in 1876 A.D.by the british government.At that time this dam was a speciemen of modern technology.Many American scientist studied this dam and they used this technology in America and America became a developed country.During course of time this dam became shorter due to large irrigation demand.Therefore,in 1967,at a 7km.south of this ,there have being built a large dam,known as Indrapuri dam.From this time this dam is abandoned.
