The April 25 People's Army House of Culture is located at the intersection of Pipa and Kaeson Street. It is 50 m (164 feet) high 176 m (577 feet) long and facilities include two movie theaters and two theaters. The Education and Agitation departments of the NDC and KPA host education sessions here. Military honors ceremonies are also held here. In October 2007 the public square was the sight of ROK President Roh's official welcome by DPRK Leader, General Kim Jong il.
