(A)The District Head Quarter Janjgir of the district Janjgir-Champa is the city of Maharaja Jajawalya Dev of Kulchury dynasty. The Janjgir-Champa district is a major producer of Food Grains in the state Chhattisgarh.
The Vishnu Mandir of Janjgir district reflects the golden past of this district. The Vishnu Mandir is an ancient artistic sample of Vaishnav community.
The Hasdeobango project has been considered as life supporting canal for the district Janjgir-Champa. Under this project 3/4th area of the district will be covered for irrigation.
(B)Titanic-Janjgir connection:
Tiatanic tragedy is completing 100 years on15th April 2012, has connection with Janjgir in Champa district of Chattisgarh. Missionary worker Mrs. Annie Clamor Funk came here knew Hindi well and opened a School in 1908. She was on her visit to USA from Mumbai to USA uia London to meet her ailing mother.While traveling by Titanic boat in 1912 when the boat capsized,She was offered a lifeboat but same was given to a needy mother & her child.Today there are only few remnants of that one room school in Janjgir.

    Tiatanic tragedy completing 100 years this 15th April 2012 has connection with Janjgir in Champa district of Chattisgarh.She was on her visit to USA from Mumbai Missionary worker Mrs. Annie Clamor Funk came here and opened a School in 1908 to meet her ailing mother.While traveling by Titanic boat in 1912 when the boat capsized,She was offered a lifeboat but same was given to a needy mother & her child.Today remains are only few remnants of that one room school in Janjgir.आठवणीचा एका धागा छत्तीसगढमध्ये छत्तीसगढमधील छोटेसे गाव 'जांगीर-चंपा' चाही टायटॅनिकच्या भव्य शोकांतिकेशी जोडले गेले आहे. इथे मिशनरी कामासाठी आलेल्या आणि इथल्याच होऊन राहिलेल्या अॅनी क्लेमर फंक, टायटॅनिकच्या प्रवाशांपैकी एक होत्या. फंक यांनी १९०८ साली या गावात एक-खणी शाळाही उघडली होती. त्यांना हिंदी चांगले अवगत होते. अमेरिकेतील आपल्या आजारी आईच्या भेटीसाठी त्या निघाल्या होत्या. खरेतर मुंबई बंदरातून त्या आपला प्रवास वेगळ्याच जहाजातून सुरू केला होता. मात्र या जहाजावर संप झाल्याने त्यांना टायटॅनिकचे सेकंड क्लासचे तिकिट दिले गेले. जहाज बुडताना लाइफबोटमध्ये जागा मिळत असूनही आई-मुलाच्या एका जोडीला जाऊ देण्यासाठी त्यांनी ती नाकारली. आज फंक यांच्या शाळेचे फक्त अवशेष उरले आहेत. टायटॅनिक दुर्घटनेच्या शतकपूर्ती निमित्ताने त्यांच्या नावावरची धूळ मात्र झटकली गेली आहे.
