St Louis's famed Gateway Arch stands in Missouri's Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. It was designed by Eero Saarinen and Hannskarl Bandel, and construction was completed in 1965. The arch stands 630 feet (192 m) tall, making it one of the tallest structures in the state of Missouri.

Visitors can ascend to the observation deck at the top in a specially designed tram.

  • You mean to tell me nobody could think of anything nice to say about this incredible engineering marvel? What a beautiful tribute to the pioneering spirit of our ancestors. I did not get the chance to go into this structure. What a dissappointment.

  • I like the continuous loop track inside the arch that carries pods of people up to the top. AND no one got killed building it
