Baker-Barry Tunnel

Originally built as a timbered tunnel in 1917-1918, this tunnel was later enlarged and lined in concrete in 1935-1937. It connected Fort Baker and Fort Barry. Traffic is limited to one lane by 'Stop & Go' signal controls.

  • Don't know if it still is but the tunnel used to be one lane with stop lights at either end controlling traffic.
