military, antenna, abandoned / shut down
Remains of a Wullenweber antenna array used by the military for radio and electronic signal intercept operations during the Cold War. Also, in conjunction with other Wullenweber sites, used in direction finding to locate the origins of radio and various other electronic signals. The slang terms for it were "shotgun" and "dinosaur cage". The buildings in the middle were called the "bullseye".
