6-story cooperative-apartment building completed in 1942. Designed by Robert T. Lyons, it is clad in reddish-brown brick. The centered main entrance on the north facade has recessed glass double-doors below a peaked, brown canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. Rounded, beige stone columns frame the doorway, with thin horizontal stone bars extending to the sides, and a broad stone band across the top, pierced by a pair of small windows. Continuing to either side the ground floor has three bays of double-windows.
The upper floors have two recessed bays that divide the facade into three wings. Both of these bays have a single-window and a smaller bathroom window, and are fronted by black metal fire escapes. The center wing has two double-windows flanking a narrow single-window, and the outer wings have two bays of double-windows, the end bays narrower. At each floor, all three wings have stone sill and lintel courses joining the windows, and panels of brickwork between them featuring patterns of rounded, vertically-laid bricks in six rows.
The west facade has a large light court near the middle, with several bays of double- and single-windows, and some smaller bathroom windows. A fire escape runs down the middle of the rear wall of the light court, and there is a similar light court on the opposite side of the building. The north wing in front of the light court has a bay of single-windows, with more of the textured brick panels on either side. The south wing has two bays of double-windows, the southern one narrower.
The building was converted from rental apartments to a co-op in 1988, with 59 apartments.
